20th Century Studios is currently creating a remake of the classic 1990s film, “White Men Can’t Jump,” about a pair of black and white basketball hustlers who join forces to double their chances of winning. money in the street courts and in a basketball tournament.

Recently, the director of the film, Calmatic, participated in a press conference for the new movie “House Party” and shared an update with Collider about the upcoming movie “White Men Can’t Jump”, and even shared a hint of what What will this new version be? about:
“We took some elements, like a white man and a black man playing basketball, but we’re changing it up. We’ve got a whole new story, a whole new approach, a whole new tempo, a whole new beat, but it’s going to be something everyone can enjoy. I can’t wait for the world to see that. I think that will be great too.”
Calmatic also revealed that the film is currently in the post-production stages and will be released later this year.
“We locked down the edit maybe a couple of days ago. I feel like we have to finish the sound mix, add some songs in there, color correct and get it to the final stages of publishing. And then, I’m sure you’ll see something very soon. It will definitely come out this year.”
Officially, we haven’t heard any more details about the movie or its official release date, but hopefully, it won’t be long until we get that information. There’s also no word on whether this movie will be theatrically released or released directly on Disney’s Hulu, Star+, and Disney+ streaming services.
“Black-ish” creator Kenya Barris has written the script with Doug Hall and is producing through his Khalabo Ink Society banner. Blake Griffin, Ryan Khalil and Noah Weinstein are executive producers through their Mortal Media imprint, along with Doug Hall and E. Brian Dobbins.
