As the genealogy series returns, Sue Perkins discovers heartbreaking stories in her family tree that will leave him supporting her ancestors almost as much as she does. She is upset to learn of her paternal grandfather’s terrible losses during her Victorian childhood and visits the Isle of Man, where her German-born maternal great-grandfather was interned as an enemy alien during World War I. In the midst of her sadness, one of her most charming moments sees Sue go through family photos and letters of hers with her old friend Mel Giedroyc, and then a strange connection emerges between them…

It has been a delight to watch Carol’s enthusiasm for her Devon garden as she shares her limitless horticultural knowledge to get the best out of whatever size plot or pot you have. In this final episode, she goes wild for bluebells as they put on a colorful spring display. But our delicate native bluebell is under attack from an invasive Spanish cousin and Carol is leading the bluebell battle cry to save our native species from extinction. She is also splashing around in the pond to make sure wildlife can get in and out safely, planting herbs and making a mini potted meadow.

A coming-of-age comedy from comedian and author Jack Rooke, based on his own experiences. derry girlsDylan Llewellyn plays Jack, who recently lost his father and leaves home to attend Brent Uni. With no room in the halls, he shares with mature student Danny (Jon Pointing). Sultry and brash, Danny is everything Jack isn’t, but the two soon form a close bond. Sharp, poignant, and a whole lot of fun, this is a polished gem of perfection.

Tonight, the new presenting trio of GPs, Dr. Tosin Ajayi-Sotubo, Dr. Anand Patel and Dr. Jane Leonard, are tackling more conditions that are a bit sensitive. Dr. Jane meets a woman whose serious skin condition has kept her from leaving the house, while Dr. Tosin counsels a patient who has suffered from alopecia since childhood. Also, Dr. Anand helps a man whose sexual life is affected by a very delicate problem, and island of love star Amy Hart is on a mission to get us to embrace our bodies.

Ant and Dec organize this celebration of the achievements of young people who are supported by the charity founded by the Prince of Wales. Stars from television, cinema, music and sports will hand out prizes, with the Prince himself in attendance. Following last year’s virtual ceremony, this year’s event was held at London’s Theater Royal, Drury Lane, on Tuesday.

The best box to watch on TV tonight

The third unbridled series has just ended on C4, but if anyone has missed this absolute gem of a comedy, all three seasons are now available on All4. The series follows teenagers Erin (Saoirse-Monica Jackson), Orla (Louisa Harland), Clare (Nicola Coughlan), Michelle (Jamie-Lee O’Donnell), and James (Dylan Maguire), or “the little English friend” as everyone. calls out to him, as they navigate life in Derry, Northern Ireland, in the early 1990s. The gang attends Our Lady Immaculate College run by the indomitable Sister Michael, played brilliantly by Siobhán McSweeney, who has seen all her wacky shenanigans before and couldn’t care less. One of the best box comedies.
The best movie to watch on TV tonight
Suspicion9pm, BBC Four
This classic 1941 Hitchcock thriller features an Oscar-winning performance from Joan Fontaine (who starred in Hitchcock’s film). Rebeca the previous year) as an heiress who believes her husband (Cary Grant) is planning to kill her. The film was from RKO Studios and at 8pm you can see the continuous series The history of RKO, which includes the first screen appearance of Robert Mitchum. His 1952 film Angel Facewhich co-stars Jean Simmons, opens tonight at 10:35 p.m.
