In an exciting announcement, Tom Felton revealed today that he will be publishing his memoir this fall! the book is titled Beyond the Magic Wand: The Magic and Chaos of Growing Up as a Wizard.
The memoir will cover his experiences playing the role of Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter, including being in the spotlight at a young age and creating lasting relationships with co-stars. The synopsis says, “Speaking with great candor and his trademark humour, Tom shares his experience of growing up as part of the wizarding world while trying to navigate the Muggle world. He tells stories of his early days in the business, such as his first acting job, in which he was mistaken for blond child actor Macaulay Culkin, and his audition for Harry Potter, where, in a move much like Draco’s, he sidestepped how well who knew the books. the series was based on (at all).”

A couple of short excerpts also give us a sneak peek at what to expect:
At lunchtime we met in the canteen, which was always a fun time. There was no separation of roles. An electrician would be lining up for his lunch along with a witch and a goblin, then a cameraman, a carpenter and Hagrid.
They called a break, and Gambon took a cigarette out of his beard. He and I used to meet outside the stage door, getting ‘a breath of fresh air,’ as we called it. There would be painters and plasterers and chippies and sparks, and between all of us there would be Dumbledore and I smoking a sneaky cigarette.
Tom teased the announcement on social media yesterday with a carefully worded post. It didn’t take long for fans to realize that the capital letters formed an anagram of the book’s title.
Special announcement tomorrow! Honestly, I’ve been saving this one for a while, but I’m excited to finally share it!
The last few months have been like no other.
