Wondering what to expect from the first and second seasons of Boys how do they get to blu-ray? Here’s a recap of the first two seasons via the official synopsis for Season 1 and Season 2 via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment:

Boys season 1 synopsis

THE BOYS is an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes — as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and as revered as gods — abuse their superpowers instead of using them for good. They are the powerless against the super-powered as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about “The Seven” and their formidable Vought backer.

Boys season 2 synopsis

In a more intense season 2 of THE BOYS, Butcher, Hughie, and the team rebound from their losses in season 1. On the run from the law, they fight to fight superheroes. Meanwhile, Vought, the hero management company, capitalizes on the supervillain scare; and a new hero, Stormfront, shakes up the company and challenges an already unstable Homelander.

Included in the collection are deleted scenes and a blooper reel for both seasons, but that’s not all! Season 2 discs also include extended scenes as well as Butcher: a short film. The five-minute short film helps fill the gap between season 1 and season 2 to reveal what happened during Billy Butcher’s missing two weeks after the events of season 1.

Is The Boys Seasons 1 & 2 Blu-ray Collection Worth It?

As a fan and consumer, the decision behind my personal decision to buy the latest season of my favorite shows usually comes down to the special features of the collection; after all, I’ve already seen the episodes and have the ability to watch them again. through the many streaming services I subscribe to.

When watching a DVD and Blu-ray release, I look for never-before-seen features that give me new material to enjoy; features that I will only find through the home video release of the series. This usually involves looking for a release to feature things like deleted scenes and special extras including gag reels, comic-con panels, and behind-the-scenes features.

Then how Boys Does the seasons 1 and 2 Blu-ray collection measure up with all of this in mind?

Maybe it’s because I love this series so much, but buying this collection was a must for me even before I saw what extra features it included. Once I saw the extra features, I confess I was impressed.

Sure there could be more bonus features, but the collection features some really nice bonus features including new footage in the form of extended and deleted scenes. Also, I love the blooper rolls and the blooper rolls from both seasons are great and are sure to make you smile.

If you’re someone who loves having a physical collection of the shows you love and a few extra features, I think you’ll love it. Boys Seasons 1 & 2 Blu-ray Collection!
