Five of TV’s top sound editors and mixers will reveal the secrets behind their projects when they join Gold Derby’s special “Meet the Experts” Q&A event with the 2022 Emmy Award nominees. They will participate in two debates on video premiering Tuesday, May 31 at 6:00 pm PT; 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. We will have a one-on-one with our senior editor Daniel Montgomery and a round table with the whole group together.

Biography: Michael J Benavente He was an Emmy winner for “Houdini.” A Motion Picture Sound Editors win went to “Houdini” with other nominations for “Spider-Man,” “Surf’s Up,” “Moneyball,” “Whiplash,” “Tut” and “My Dinner with Herve.”

Welcome to Earth (NatGeo)

Synopsis: Will Smith travels to the ends of the earth from active volcanoes to deep ocean adventures.

Biography: jay price he was a Motion Picture Sound Editors winner for “The Pride of Wade Ellison” and a nominee for “We Are Lady Parts” and “Welcome to Earth.”

The Wheel of Time (Amazon Prime)

Synopsis: Set in a high fantasy world where magic exists, but only a few can access it, a woman named Moiraine crosses paths with five young men and women.

Biography: matt skelding he was an Emmy winner for “Black Mirror” and a Motion Picture Sound Editors nominee for “The King’s Speech,” “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” and “The Alienist.” An MPSE win went to “Black Mirror”.

Women of the Movement (ABC)

Synopsis: An anthology series chronicling the civil rights movement as told by the women behind it.

Biography: bobbi banks was Emmy nominated for “When They See Us” and Motion Picture Sound Editors nominated for “2 Fast 2 Furious,” “Ghost Rider,” “Abduction,” “August: Osage County,” “Straight Outta Compton,” “When They See Us” and “Self Made.” The MPSE wins went to “Return to House on Haunted Hill” and “Eliza Graves”.
