Richarlison’s transfer dream was revealed amid Chelsea interest after candid talks with Frank Lampard

Chelsea are still waiting to make their first senior signing for the summer transfer window. The Blues are looking to make six signings over the next few months but fans are increasingly frustrated with the west London club’s lack of activity.

However, with Romelu Lukaku’s loan move to Inter Milan expected to be officially announced next week, this deal could boost Chelsea’s summer. The Blues are looking for at least two new centre-backs, with Jules Kounde and Matthijs de Ligt both of high interest at the moment.

Chelsea are looking to add two new attackers to Thomas Tuchel’s squad after Lukaku’s imminent departure. Raheem Sterling, Ousmane Dembele and Richarlison are all big targets for the west Londoners.

The last of the three, Richarlison, has just two years left at Everton. There is a consensus within the Merseyside club that the Brazil international could leave this summer, a source has recently, but they will charge more than £50m for his services.

Richarlison played a huge part in Everton’s survival last season. The 25-year-old has scored three goals in the Toffees’ last five Premier League games – including the winner against Chelsea on May 1 – and helped Frank Lampard’s side stay in the top flight. Since signing for Everton from Watford in 2018, Richarlison has hit the back of the net 43 times in 135 Premier League games.

It’s a decent return, especially at a side that haven’t always been at their best since he arrived. That’s why he has ambitions to continue and play European football in the future. It would be ideal with Everton, but that seems a long way off at the moment given the dramatic relegation battle last season.

According to a report by the Brazilian version of GOAL last month, Richarlison is considering leaving Everton this summer to play for a “huge club” in Europe. Given Chelsea’s history in the Champions League – with two Champions League trophies to their name – that very well puts them in that category.

The report also adds that despite interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid reported in the past, the Brazilian prefers the possibility of staying in the Premier League. All of this bodes well for Chelsea, who are looking to bring the Everton man to their front line in time for the 2022/23 season.

Speaking to the media recently, Richarlison revealed he has already held talks with Everton board and manager Lampard about his future.

“I’ve already made it clear to the board. I’ve already spoken to Lampard, to my agents and they know what I want. Let’s wait for June,” the Everton forward told Globo Esporte last month.

“Now I can’t speak because when we talk about leaving a club I’m so similar to the affection the fans have for me because of the history I have at Everton. When we talk about leaving, I’m a little speechless.” .”
