Ray Liotta teased fans with details about an upcoming film project days before his tragic death.

Famous around the world for his role in Goodfellas, Ray reportedly passed away in his sleep while working on a movie in the Dominican Republic.

Three days before his death, Ray shared some exciting information about the upcoming movie, Cocaine Bear, on social media.

The film is about a 500-pound bear who takes cocaine before going berserk, threatening the safety of a local town and its inhabitants, the Mirror reports.

Ray took to Instagram to share a screenshot of a headline about the project that read: ‘ Elizabeth Banks’ ‘Cocaine Bear’ will be released in theaters in February 2023.

He was set to star in the film and shared a brief synopsis with fans, writing, “Cocaine Bear follows a bizarre group of cops, criminals, tourists, and teenagers who converge on a Georgia forest where a 500-pound apex predator has ingested a staggering amount of the white powder and goes on a coke-fueled rampage in search of more punches and blood.”

His fans were excited in the comments, sending congratulatory messages to the Goodfellas star.

“This movie sounds wild!” one fan wrote while another commented, “Great cast! Congrats!!”

A third added: “A must see, he looks like one of my favorite actors, Ray Liotta.”

The famous actor’s career break came in Martin Scorsese’s 1990 crime classic Goodfellas after co-starring in Field of Dreams.

He was filming the movie Dangerous Waters at the time of his death, having seen a resurgence in his career in recent years.

He recently starred in such films as The Many Saints of Newark, Marriage Story, for which he shared a 2020 Indie Spirit Award as part of his ensemble, and No Sudden Move.

She finished Cocaine Bear, directed by Elizabeth Banks, and was due to star in the Working Title film The Substance, opposite Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley.

Liotta leaves a daughter, Karsen. He was engaged to be married to Jacy Nittolo.

Deadline claimed the star died in her sleep but did not give a cause of death, while TMZ claimed no crime was suspected.

Liotta was last photographed in public in early May at the Pacific Palisades in Los Angeles, California.

The iconic actor was born in New Jersey in 1954 and was abandoned in an orphanage.

He was adopted when he was six months old by Town Clerk Mary and auto parts store owner Alfred Liotta.

He has a sister, Linda, who is also adopted. Ray later found out that he has a biological sister, a biological half-brother, and five biological half-sisters.

One of Ray’s earliest roles was as Joey Perrini on the soap opera series Another World, where he appeared from 1978 to 1981.

Ray made his film debut in 1983’s The Lonely Lady, but his first major acting role was Something Wild in 1986, which earned him his first Golden Globe nomination.

It was in 1990 that Ray took on the role of real-life mobster Henry Hill in Martin Scorsese’s critically acclaimed film Goodfellas.
