However, the film also received a seven-minute standing ovation from people who managed to sit down during the ruffled scenes.

Kristen told Insider that even she was confused by the movie’s plot at first. “We actors spend every day after work saying, ‘What the hell are we doing?’ But then I saw the movie last night and it was very clear to me,” she explained.

“It’s very revealing, and it feels like you’re cutting up organs when you’re doing something, and if it doesn’t feel like that, it’s not worth it.”

However, Kristen believes the divisive nature of the film is actually what makes it worth watching.
