The Osceola County Property Appraiser’s Office, under the leadership of Katrina Scarborough, has re-certified its Certificate of Excellence in Appraisal Administration, one of only four jurisdictions nationwide to receive CEAA and recertify twice. The office was first certified in 2010, and this required recertification is a demonstration of its continued commitment to best practices.
“I am very proud of my office for their efforts in our second recertification award in the Certificate of Excellence in Assessment Administration for 2022. We are one of four jurisdictions nationally to receive the CEAA and recertify twice. We will continue to adhere to the accepted standards and best practices of the Assessment Administration through excellent customer service and full transparency. Our mission is to ensure the fair and equitable appraisal of properties within our county by applying the guidelines set forth by the Department of Revenue,” said Osceola County Property Appraiser Katrina Scarborough.
The IAAO Certificate of Excellence in Assessment Management recognizes government units that adhere to accepted standards and integrate best practices in the workplace. This challenging and rigorous program is a self-directed, peer-reviewed evaluation of compliance with specific, accepted evaluation and evaluation administration standards, as defined in the IAAO publication Evaluation Practices: Self-Assessment Guide.
This recertification was presented during a ceremony at the IAAO’s 88th Annual International Conference on Test Administration at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, Massachusetts, on August 30, 2022. The IAAO Certificate of Excellence in Test Administration is an important recognition for industry professionals who strive to meet the highest standards in their line of work. It is a great honor for the IAAO to present this recertification to the Osceola County Property Appraiser’s Office during the annual conference.
