Arsenal need to sign a player who has the versatility to play on the wing and as a centre-forward. These are two positions that need strengthening in the summer transfer window and Mikel Arteta has been presented with the perfect opportunity to do so.
According to the Mail, Everton striker Richarlison will leave Everton in the summer. The report further claims that Tottenham, PSG and Real Madrid have expressed interest in the attacker.
The Sun had previously reported that Arsenal are also involved in the Brazil international. Richarlison has shown he would be a good player for Arteta and it’s a deal Edu should pursue.

The Brazilian has been outstanding for the Toffees in their fight for survival this season as Richarlison led the line with outstanding passion and quality in performances to match. The 26-year-old finished the season with six Premier League goals but it’s his all-around game that makes him a quality signing.
Richarlison has scored 53 goals since joining Everton in 2018, playing on the wing or as a center forward during his time. He seems to excel wherever he is positioned and shows the versatility that would come in handy at Arsenal.
However, his best position is the inside forward position from the left, which fits perfectly into Mikel Arteta’s system. Gabriel Martinelli has played for the Spaniards in a similar game and has been successful for the Gunners.
Arsenal will be tight on the wing positions ahead of next season. Nicolas Pepe’s future is uncertain at the club as the winger is set to leave Arsenal this summer and has instructed his agent to find him a new club. football.london understands. The winger has two years left on his contract and has found the playing time Arteta gave him during last season extremely limited, which has likely led to his desire for an exit from the club.
Pepe has played heavily on the right flank for Arsenal which means Richarlison would not be a direct replacement for him. Martinelli had plenty of success, however, receiving a chance down the right flank that would open up a spot for Richarlison. Arteta is said to opt for a more fluid system. Richarlison’s versatility to also play as a forward also makes him an attractive signing as the Gunners look set to fall short in that position next season.
Securing the Brazil international’s signing won’t be easy as clubs across Europe are also likely to express interest in the player. It’s a deal Edu should consider, however, as Richarlison would be an excellent addition to Arsenal’s Brazil contingent.
