Manchester United are expected to be busy this summer as Erik ten Hag finally takes control at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils face a season away from the Champions League and need a number of recruits if they have any chance of returning to the top of European football. Of course, some players have already been linked with a change of club, but the start of summer business is yet to come.
That said, mirror football takes a look at the latest transfer rumors from Old Trafford, with just weeks left until the summer window officially begins.
Man United eye Raphinha kidnapping
Man United will reportedly compete with Spanish giants Barcelona for the signing of winger Raphinha from Leeds United. The Brazilian has had a hugely profitable season at Elland Road this season despite the club’s struggles.
According to transfer expert Gianluigi Longari, Leeds have rejected the Catalan club’s initial offer for Raphinha but there remains interest from other parts of the Premier League. Man United and Arsenal are both reportedly admirers of the winger and could potentially hijack Barcelona’s move.

Red Devils consider edge swoop
While United could potentially ambush fierce rivals Leeds for one of their stars, they could also be looking to recruits at Chelsea. According to The Athletic, the Red Devils are actively considering a nosedive for World Cup winner N’Golo Kante.
The club are in dire need of midfield reinforcements ahead of next season as Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic and Juan Mata are all set to leave this summer. Kante is apparently a candidate arriving despite doubts about his fitness struggles in recent seasons.
With his contract at Stamford Bridge set to expire next summer, there is hope that the Red Devils can secure his services at a bargain price, although it remains to be seen whether Chelsea would be interested in selling.
Darlow swap deal offered
One of the players who could potentially be on the way out of Old Trafford this summer is Dean Henderson, with Newcastle reportedly close to agreeing a deal for his services.
His exit would leave the Red Devils with few goalkeeping options, especially as substitute Lee Grant has retired. Interestingly, potential future employers of Henderson could offer them a solution.
That’s as The Sun reports that Newcastle are considering offering Karl Darlow in a parts swap deal.
