We’re not saying anything! The ANC in Johannesburg has reacted furiously to the claims made by the recently ousted mayor, Dr. Mpho Phalatse. In a statement released yesterday, the DA representative called the party a ‘corrupt cabal’, following a bitter leadership dispute on the subway.

Phalatse was ousted as mayor of Johannesburg last week after a controversial process. The DA has already lodged a legal challenge against the political turmoil, which returned control of the city to the ANC, just under a year after it lost it.

During her digital tirade, Dr. Phalatse criticized “a corrupt few” who forced her out of office. She called her enemies a ‘coalition of corruption’, criticizing them for disrupting her regional mandate.

VIDEO: ‘Prominent’ gangsters shot to death at busy intersection

Two suspected gangsters were shot dead at a busy intersection by unknown suspects in Steenberg, Cape Town on Thursday 6 October.

South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesman Captain Frederick van Wyk said the shooting occurred at approximately 11:45 a.m. at the corner of Retreat Road and Prince George Drive in Steenberg.

The Steenberg Police Station is investigating one double murder and four cases of attempted murder.

Young mother arrested after DROPPING her baby off with an APOLOGIZE note

The mother who abandoned her three-month-old baby with an APOLO note earlier this week has been arrested for child abandonment.

Reaction Unit SA (RUSSIA) spokesman Prem Balram said the 23-year-old mother (name withheld) had been arrested for child abandonment.

The Willowton Group has confirmed that stolen cooking oil has been recovered from one of its warehouses.

It is reported that on the morning of Wednesday 5th October 2022, an armed robbery took place at one of their external warehouses in Kempton Park, Johannesburg.

According to the Willowton Group, the thieves assaulted staff at the facility and proceeded to load three trucks, believed to be stolen trucks, with substantial amounts of 2-liter Sunfoil Sunflower cooking oil.
