That movie star life is Tamara’s normal life, and here we get an up close and personal look at her world.
This review of the Netflix reality show Lady Tamara is spoiler-free.
Netflix has released its latest reality series where we follow the life of someone rich and famous. In this series, we follow the glamorous life of Tamara Falco, the famous socialite. We see how she manages to balance her work life, her social life, and her famous family.
Taking center stage is something this family is used to, and across six episodes lasting about forty minutes each, we get to see them up close and personal with fly-on-the-wall-style footage mixed with interviews. . The public enjoys seeing the lives of rich and famous people, on the one hand it is entertaining and on the other it helps us to distract ourselves from our mundane lives; let’s live their experiences and hopefully see something we can relate to. As horrible as it sounds, the public enjoys seeing other people suffer and feel miserable.
You don’t need to know who Tamara is to enjoy this series, but in case you didn’t know, she is the VI Marquesa de Griñón, a Spanish aristocrat and co-host of the TV show. the anthill. She is the only child of the aristocrat Carlos Falcó, 12th Marquis of Castel-Moncayo, GE, with the Hispanic-Filipino socialite Isabel Preysler. So, in a nutshell, she is a rich, elegant and important woman. A busy bee with a crazy social schedule, she’s surprising that she has time to pursue her greatest passion, cooking. Throughout the episodes, we see how she is building and opening her own restaurant and the obstacles along the way.
What I really enjoyed about this reality series is the fact that it doesn’t feel pretentious or like she’s showing off her lavish lifestyle on purpose for attention. This world is your oyster, and everything you have is natural. In her interviews with the camera, she is sitting between her grand double staircase and feels glamorous, not flashy. A very inspiring woman, she is her own empire, independent and following her passions.
There are snippets of old home videos of her as a child and growing up, which really gives this series a personal touch. Home videos are something that most of our families have and they remind us of the good old days and how far we have come. Some audiences may not be able to relate to her buying YLS on a whim, but they can relate to her sweet home videos.
They give us an idea of private and prestigious parties, fashion shows, exclusive shopping, walks through the streets of Madrid and New York, and everything you can imagine. Unlike similar shows, this series has a cozy and cute feel, there are no intense dramas or serious fights. Of course, we see some scandals and tensions, but nothing that feels forced or put there for the purpose of television.
Overall, this series is easy to watch, something you can binge on, and something you can have in the background while you cook, maybe. I highly recommend watching this if you are a fan of reality TV.
