MEDFORD, NJ–(COMMERCIAL WIRE)–Two established family-owned businesses based in NJ have come together to create a one-stop, full-service interior and exterior cleaning/maintenance company for commercial customers.
Jidan Cleaning, an award-winning full-service commercial cleaning company, has announced the acquisition of Pieco Services Property Maintenance, a landscaping and property management company based in Williamstown, New Jersey.
Jidan Cleaning, founded in 2005 by Patricia Claybrook, President and CEO, is a leading commercial cleaning company serving clients, including Fortune 100 companies, in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. Basic services include office cleaning, post-construction cleaning, carpet and window cleaning, and stripping and waxing.
Pieco Services was founded by Bobby Scannapieco over 20 years ago and has earned a reputation for providing quality work for owners of commercial buildings, shopping malls, industrial complexes, corporate facilities, multi-unit housing developments, and residential developments. The company provides commercial exterior services including landscaping, facilities maintenance, parking lot maintenance, and snow removal.
“Acquiring Pieco is a natural next step in taking our business to the next level and providing customers with a convenient, one-stop solution for keeping their properties clean, inside and out,” said Patricia Claybrook, CEO. “Over the years, my clients have expressed an ongoing need for landscaping and property management services. Instead of recommending this work, we can now provide customers with all of these services with a brand they know and trust.”
Claybrook did an extensive search to find a business that reflected his company’s core values.
“When I met Bobby and learned more about his business, I instantly knew he was the perfect match. We are like-minded companies, in terms of being family owned, strong brand recognition and providing quality service.”
Bobby Scannapieco will remain on staff to ensure a smooth transition for Pieco’s customers and employees, working closely with Maurice Claybrook, Jidan’s COO, who will assume day-to-day operational management of Pieco.
“After more than two decades of building my business and providing exceptional work for my clients, it’s time to hand over the reins. I am excited about this opportunity and feel comfortable knowing that Pieco will continue to provide the same quality of products and services under Jidan’s stewardship,” said Bobby Scannapieco, who will play a critical role in managing and transitioning the relationship between existing customers and the new management team.
Both the existing Pieco and Jidan workforces will remain in place and Pieco will retain the same name. Claybrook added that the business transaction will provide growth opportunities for Pieco and Jidan employees.
Jidan Cleaning has been recognized for its work and leadership by industry and trade associations, including Minority Business Leader by the Philadelphia Business Journal; Minority Supplier of the Year by the Pennsylvania-New Jersey-Delaware Minority Supplier Development Council (MSDC); Sydney Bridgett Award from Franklin & Marshall College (in honor of Pat Claybrook).
