The last match was against strong opponent Boro Ranger Oranges, a team they could never beat but had some close games in the past that ended in draws.

After winning the Copa Jordi European tournament in Barcelona in April, the boys were “full of faith”, according to their coach.

From the start of the game, Boro Rangers had the most possession and chances, but a ball lifted by Tyler Kelly over one of their players put the Allstars 1-0 up.

After a few misses and fantastic saves from Allstar goalkeeper Harry Foxton, Rangers finally broke through and made it 1-1.

After the game ended in a draw, it was time for penalties.

After a tense round of shots, team captain Zachery Robinson managed to sneak the ball into the net under the Rangers goaltender, earning the Allstars’ first-ever win over the Boro Ranger Oranges.

Andy Robinson, team manager and coach, was delighted for the boys, saying they “fully deserved the win”.

He added: “It was a close game and we probably weren’t the best team out there today but we held them to a draw and finished our penalties well.

“We are overjoyed for them. We’re just as disappointed with the Boro Ranger boys because they’re a good team, one of the best and it’s always a good game against them.”
