as filming for beverly hills police is underway in California, the cast of the classic comedy sequel is expanding to include more original characters.
Bronson Pinchot is among the franchise’s original stars returning for chapter four, titled Beverly Hills Police: Axel Foley by the wily Detroit street detective played by Eddie Murphy.
Pinchot, who played brash art gallery salesman Serge in beverly hills police and his 1994 threequel, he will reprise the role in Netflix’s follow-up (via Term).

The actor, most recently seen on Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrinais in good company as it was previously announced that Paul Reiser, Judge Reinhold, and John Ashton will be returning to The Hills along with leading man Murphy, who is also serving as producer.
Reiser played Axel’s partner, Jeffrey Friedman, while Reinhold and Ashton played police officer Billy Rosewood and Detective Sergeant John Taggart.
Details of the movie are being kept under wraps, though the premise promises more trouble for Axel. The cop is back in Beverly Hills after the death of an old friend. There he will investigate a possible corruption in the force.

a brand new beverly hills police The film has been in the works for quite some time. The original film spawned two sequels and a 2013 television pilot centered on Axel’s son that was not picked up by CBS, although it spawned a fourth film.
Other production delays are due to the film jumping from one distributor to another, finally arriving on Netflix in 2019.
Directed by Mark Molloy from a screenplay written by Will Beall, the film also features original producer Jerry Bruckheimer among its ranks.
