Joao Felix is another player Tottenham and Arsenal have been linked with this summer. The 22-year-old is currently an Atletico Madrid player and made 23 appearances for the Spanish side last season.
Atletico finished third in La Liga in the 2021/22 season and Felix scored eight goals and recorded four assists in his league features. The forward also has Champions League experience, having made 25 appearances in European competition in his career so far and seems like a smart signing for anyone.
Spurs have already had a successful start to the summer window, making three signings within two weeks of opening day. And Felix already possesses a number of skills that would benefit Antonio Conte’s Tottenham side.

The moves of Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster and Yves Bissouma to N17 are all positive for the Lilywhites but upgrades are still needed in the attacking half where the Portugal international could come into play.
Not only does Felix have creative qualities that would bolster Conte’s squad, the 22-year-old has versatility as a key quality. Last season, the Madrid man made 16 appearances as a second forward, 15 as a center forward and a pair on each wing.
The striker is worth up to £103.2million, according to CIES Football Observatory, which would be a big deal for Tottenham. However, if Felix can play in multiple positions, it would mean that the Italian would need fewer newcomers to fill other positions.
Spurs also benefit from ENIC’s £150m investment and the money they make from revenue so could afford a large sum. Felix has been praised by his current boss Diego Simeone and it will be exactly the comments Conte wants to hear.
“Joao Felix fulfills what the team needs,” admitted Simeone in March. “We have a way of working with the forwards. He’s doing a very good job, he’s happy, enthusiastic and it’s very important on an individual level so he can later move on to the collective, which is what matters.”
The 22-year-old has shown clear signs of commitment and a desire to improve but also has experience in various competitions, which is likely to give the Italian a boost. And if the Atletico Madrid man joins N17, he could be following in the footsteps of a certain Chelsea star who went to the Premier League like a duck to water.
Felix has previously been compared to England international Mason Mount, with the former Arsenal youth product saying he mentioned his name in a conversation with the Atletico man. Felix admitted last year: “I like his style [Mount] plays, how he likes to pull the ball, how he touches the ball. I played with Chris Willock at Benfica three or four years ago and he told me that Chelsea have a guy that he sees that is similar to me and he told me it’s Mason Mount.
“A few years later he came to Chelsea and I like the way he plays. Chris had told me about him before he played in the Premier League so I was waiting to see him.”
Capable of playing up front, the 22-year-old will help Tottenham find a replacement for Harry Kane. It’s something Spurs are struggling with and it’s a problem for many players who don’t want to move to a club they know are second choice.
However, should a player like Felix move to north London, he could fill in for the 28-year-old if necessary, but could also fill a variety of other roles. March, football.londonreported Arsenal’s interest in the Portugal international but there was no way the 22-year-old was leaving Madrid at the time.
According to BarcaTimes, Felix’s agent has been in touch with a number of clubs and a move now seems more likely. So if Tottenham were to seek a deal for the forward, they would have competition from their north London rivals and clubs around the world.
