A woman who was on the verge of tears after hearing the news that her husband’s body had been found in a dumpster is speaking out for the first time.
The woman, who asked not to be named, was among the first to speak to the media after hearing of the body of her husband, a truck driver who was found in an abandoned garage.
She says the family is devastated.
“My husband is the nicest guy in the world, he’s never had anything bad happen to him, he didn’t have anything happen to his family,” she told The American Christian Post.
“I’m still in shock.
It’s not even funny anymore.
It was just the most horrible thing.”
The family has been searching for answers since the news broke and says it is not looking for closure, but that the situation has given them more strength.
“It’s hard to take that and get over it because we don’t want to be stuck in that hole,” said the woman.
“We want to come out of it stronger than ever.
But it’s not going to be easy.
We’ve been dealing with it every day.
We’re dealing with everything we can.”
It is unclear if there was foul play involved, but the woman says her husband had been battling depression and had been taking medication for it.
“He had a bad heart,” she said.
“That’s why we are praying for the family.”
