Women have always had a special place in the world of American pop culture, but women who speak up for themselves and stand up for what they believe are rarely rewarded.
But thanks to some bold and savvy female voices, this year, we’ve seen a new crop of women take on the powerful men who’ve silenced their voices, and it’s happening now.
For the past three weeks, I’ve been interviewing women who are speaking up for their rights.
Each of them is unique in their own way and I think you can use their stories as a guide to understand the current state of feminism in the United States.
I want to start with the women who have spoken up for me and have inspired me.
I’ve interviewed and interviewed women like Amy Schumer, actress Lena Dunham, actress Shailene Woodley, activist Gloria Steinem, and more.
I also want to include other women who continue to speak out on behalf of the rights of all women.
For those who have read my previous interviews with these women, I’m asking for your help to give voice to their stories and their voices.
I want to hear from you.
