FourFourtwo’s India, a weekly newsletter dedicated to India’s most prominent women’s media, has compiled a list to celebrate women’s culture.
The magazine has selected 10 of the most influential women’s publications in India and compiled their most influential editors, writers and critics.
The top 10 include Indias leading female weekly magazine Indias most prestigious monthly magazine Aashish Khatun (Aashish is short for Aashiyama), Aashya Khatuns flagship publication The Times, Aashash Chopra’s weekly magazine Bindu and Aashy’s weekly Women’s Weekly.
Other publications on the list include Mihir Parekh’s daily women’s lifestyle magazine Aisht, Anupama Rao’s daily weekly magazine Murali, Shabnam Suresh’s daily lifestyle magazine Rishta and Shabim Sureshi’s daily Bindu.
The women’s monthly magazines are also the flagship publications of the women’s rights movement, the Women’s Liberation Movement, and have been among the most cited publications in the country.
